Leadership

Phil Carpenter, the pastor of Lake Charles Bible Church since January, 1997, has been involved in pastoral ministry for almost 42 years. Prior to coming to Lake Charles, he was the pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Munford, Tennessee for 12 years. He also served served as the pastor of Trimble Bible Church in Robinson, Illinois for 5 years. Phil received his training for ministry at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama. He earned a B.A. in Pastoral Theology in 1979 and an M.A. in Biblical Studies in 1984. Phil met his wife, Susan, while in college and they were married in 1976. They are the parents of one son, Ben, and three daughters, Amanda, Rebecca, and Elizabeth. They have 6 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.

Prentiss Miller is the worship leader at LCBC. He has served several years at LCBC and currently leads worship every Sunday. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and songwriting. He has been married to Addie Miller for 36 years. Before being asked to serve at LCBC he served at Moss Bluff First Baptist for 5 years as the band leader. He was ordained at Iowa first Baptist and loves leading worship with the other band members.
