Doctrinal Statement

What We Believe

The Scriptures
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in: (1) His eternal existence as God. (2) His incarnation by means of the Virgin Birth. (3) His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sins. (4) His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead. (5) His present ministry of intercession in heaven. (6) His personal return to earth.
We believe that man, because of sin, is corrupt and therefore in need of redemption.

The Church
We believe concerning the Church: (1) Its invisible form is the true Body of Christ, and that all who are born again are members, regardless of organizational affiliation. (2) Its visible form is composed of those who assemble themselves together according to God’s Word for the purpose of worship, edification, spiritual growth, and service.
We believe God created a great company of holy angelic beings. A host of these angels led by Satan fell into sin. Satan is a personal being, called the prince of this world and the god of this age.
The Godhead
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in the three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals, and sets believers apart unto a holy life; that He keeps and empowers believers day by day; that He is the Teacher of the Word of God and Guide for our daily life.
We believe (1) that it is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works. (2) It is through personal faith in Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord. (3) All who receive Him are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. (4) All who are truly saved will be kept forever. (5) However, God cannot overlook sin in His children and will therefore chasten and correct them in love. (6) We believe that as Christians we should maintain good works, not to be saved, but because we separate from the world, avoiding the appearance of evil.
The Ordinances
We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper to be observed “till He comes.”
The Future
We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ to Judge and rule all mankind.
